Janice Kaye Davis
Author Bio:
Janice K. Davis, embedded by God with a passion for writing and education, has three education degrees focusing on written expression and communication arts. To date, she has published numerous curriculum units, worked as a freelance writer of Sunday School curriculum and youth drama productions, taught in a homeschool setting for highly gifted eighth-grade students (who were the very first reviewers of this novel), and currently works full-time as a sixth-grade Communication Arts teacher. In 1997, Janice’s grandmother died from a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s. Thus began her passion for researching and writing about the disease. Years later, after working with middle-school students, Janice also discovered a desire to minister to young people who struggle with regular and, sometimes, highly irregular needs. One early morning, God inspired Janice to combine her passions into the theme for this novel. After months of His guidance, patient prodding, and her procrastination, Janice began the joyful task of sharing God’s message through Finding My Smile. She will be the first to tell you that, despite her background in writing and educational development, this novel is truly the product of Godly inspiration. Soli deo Gloria.
