Brian C. Hager
Author Bio:
I have been a serious writer since high school, after my sophomore English teacher told me I had a talent for writing and instructed me to write for her over summer break. I use the word serious because, when I was in elementary school, I rewrote a few familiar fairy tales with my own twist in a childish expression of a burgeoning gift. I have read and enjoyed fantasy since I was very young, which is where my primary interest in writing lies, though it is far from exclusive.
I graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Alabama in 1994, and currently live with my wife, Melissa, in Lake View. I work as a technical writer for Mercedes-Benz writing vehicle repair instructions. In addition to reading and writing, I enjoy martial arts, hunting, and serving my church.
My first novel, The Light-Bearer, was published by OakTara in 2007. It is an exploration of the fall of Satan, and is at least in part meant to encourage readers to examine how we all rebel against God in small and big ways.
