Barbara A. Hawley

Author Bio:

Barbara A. Hawley grew up in the Philippines, where her parents worked

in medical missions. Her cross-cultural childhood and worldwide

travels shaped how she sees life—and how she tells stories.

Her writing appears in a magazine for adult Third Culture Kids, and in

"Childhood Regained," a collection of stories about child labor in

Asia. Barbara blogs about multicultural literacy and offers helpful

tips for parents and teachers. She's the author of Julie Mitchell Mysteries, a

middle grade adventure series about a kid sleuth who solves mysteries

in international settings.

After residing in five different states, Barbara lives in North

Carolina near five of her grandkids, who made it impossible to leave.
