Author Bio:

My day job is with Denton County Juvenile Probation as their Special Education Coordinator. I love working with troubled teens. I hold four teaching certificates and am a former missionary. My two children are grown and I have a grandson. By night, I am a writer.
PUBLICATIONS: To date, my popular literary works include approximately two hundred articles in magazines such as: Live, Lookout, Mennonite, Christian Reader, Decision, and Breakthrough. Other short stories appear in the books: A Match Made in Heaven, Stories from the Heart, The Evolving Woman, and in the New York Times bestseller, In The Arms of Angels by Joan Wester-Anderson. Ann Spangler also used one of my stories in her book, Help! I can’t stop Laughing. Another two-dozen stories have been published in the Chicken Soup books. One story, Mom’s Last Laugh, was re-enacted for a PAX-TV program: It’s a Miracle. I co-authored three thrillers for Revell, The Chase, The Replacement, and The Candidate.
Since that time, I have soloed in my novel writing, starting with The Turtle Creek Edition Series, The Christmas Edition, The Valentine Edition and The Easter Edition. The first book has been made into a feature film and is in post production with Salty Earth Pictures. Christmas 2010 the movie premiers in limited release with a wider release Christmas 2011 followed by a wide distribution of DVDs. The next two books will be produced as movies eighteen months apart. I'm also looking forward to the re-release of my book, The Christmas Edition: Journey to Paradise.
Ruby Red is my eighth book and is my recent released debut young adult novel. It is being placed on several school districts’ approved reading lists both here in Texas and in California, with hopes of it spreading. The back of the book has reading guide questions that can be used for class discussions and also for writing assignments.
