Tommy Myrick is also an ordained pastor, a retired Licensed Professional Counselor and retired police officer. He has a Doctorate degree from Mississippi College in Counseling, a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University - Texarkana in Counseling Psychology and went to seminary at Southern Methodist University. Tommy is a Benedictine Oblate and a trained Spiritual Director.

Tommy Myrick rides a Harley-Davidson Road King. He is Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge Rider 1045 and Iron Butt Association member 77981. Tommy is a member of the Thin Blue Line Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, American Legion Riders, and the Christian Motorcyclist Association.
