Lisa Wingate is a magazine columnist, inspirational speaker, and the author of fifteen mainstream fiction novels, including the national bestseller, Tending Roses. Her books have been featured selections for Doubleday. Literary Guild and Crossings book clubs, selected for The Reader's Club of America, and have garnered LORIES Best Fiction and Reader's Choice Awards. Her 2010 ACFW Carol Award was for Never Say Never, by Bethany House Publishers. In 2012 she received the Carol for Dandelion Summer with the first perfect score in the history of ACFW! Recently, the group Americans for More Civility, a kindness watchdog organization, selected Lisa along with Bill Ford, Camille Cosby, and six others, as recipients of the National Civies Award, which celebrates public figures who work to promote greater kindness and civility in American life. Her novel, A Summer Kitchen, was chosen for the One Book, One Waco Chamber of Commerce program and by other towns for community read programs.
