Author Bio:

Patricia Raybon is an award-winning Colorado author, essayist, and novelist who writes top-rated books at the daring intersection of faith and race.

Her first fiction is a 1920s murder mystery series about a young Black theologian--a fan of Sherlock Holmes--solving crime in Colorado's dangerous Ku Klux Klan era. Its debut title, All That Is Secret, was a Parade Magazine Fall 2021 "Mysteries We Love" selection and a Masterpiece on PBS "Best Mystery Books of 2021" selection "As Recommended by Bestselling Authors."

Patricia's essays on faith and race have been published in the New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, USA Today, USA Weekend, Guideposts, In Touch Magazine, Christianity Today, the Washington Post, and aired on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition. A former Sunday magazine editor at The Denver Post and a former feature writer at Scripps Howard's longtime Denver paper, the Rocky Mountain News, Patricia served for 15 years on the journalism faculty at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She's now also a regular contributor at Our Daily Bread Ministries and teaches at writing conferences nationwide.

A lifelong Colorado resident, Patricia lives with her husband Dan, a retired educator. They have two grown daughters, a son-in-law, five grandchildren, and a "grand dog" Max.
