Mark Medley
Author Bio:
Mark Medley is a husband, father, pastor, teacher, author and recording artist. Native to East Tennessee, Mark revels in his work of developing leaders in dozens of countries through a cooperative called Thrive Ministries (www.markmedley.org).
Mark has been enriched by a multitude of experiences, vocations and cultures. From engineering at a nuclear power plant to gigging as a jazz musician to studying theology and training leaders worldwide—all of these experiences shape and shade his writing.
He has served on the pastor team at Trinity Community Church, Knoxville TN, since 1989 working in missions, worship arts, house churches and leadership development. In 2002 he helped to start Trinity College of Ministry, where he served as Dean of Student Affairs until 2011.
Mark passes on wisdom gleaned from his journey through his writing and music, touching very human situations with powerful truths.
The Same River Twice, Every soul longs for a father’s love — Mark’s first novel takes James Merritt, a widowed inventor reeling from his life experiences, on a journey to a distant village African village to find healing and purpose in the most unexpected places.

Coffee With Mark is a YouTube channel dedicated to three of Mark’s great passions: coffee, the Bible and the nations. Here Mark shares short videos from many different countries and cultures.
Under the Mighty Blood is a compilation of worship songs written by Mark and his friend, Aaron Jones.

Mark holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, Music and Theology. He is a Certified Strengths Trainer through the Gallup organization and a church coach through Ministry Advantage, an organization that helps churches create the practical means of realizing the vision that God has given them. Mark is also a Certified Mentor for church planters through Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI).
Mark and his wife Melissa are the parents of four awesome children and delight in their grandchildren.
