Marta Perry

Author Bio:

A lifetime spent in rural Pennsylvania and her own Pennsylvania Dutch roots led Marta Perry to write about the Plain People and their rich heritage. In addition to the Amish fiction Marta writes for Berkley Books, she writes inspirational romances and romantic suspense for Steeple Hill Books, many of which are also set in Pennsylvania Dutch country. With over two million of her books sold, Marta is an active and prolific writer who loves the creative process of starting a new book.

Marta lives in a century-and-a-half old farmhouse in a Pennsylvania valley with her husband, her college sweetheart. They have three grown children and six grandchildren, and being "Grammy" is now her favorite role.

Marta's books have been Rita finalists and have won numerous awards, including the Holt Medallion, the Rising Star, and the Inspirational Readers Choice award. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America, and she is a frequent presenter at workshops and conferences.
