The Wanderer Scorned

By Natasha Woodcraft

Description:

The Wanderer is a man shrouded in legend. Moving from place to place in the land of Nod, he is known primarily for the curse that hangs over his life. When that curse is invoked during the celebration of a murderous rampage, The Wanderer is summoned to tell his story.

Few know the truth of the tale encompassing life, death, love, hate, faith and doubt, for it has been obscured by centuries of rumour. Now, it will be told by the one who lived it—the man who became The Wanderer.

Book Takeaway:

‘Because life is not just about food, Kayin! It is not just about providing for your family – much as we appreciate you doing so. I have a suspicion that life is not even about us, but that He made us for something bigger than ourselves. We were created for the Creator. He has purposes for us that go beyond the skills He has given us, and He desires to know each one of us. We just need to trust Him.’

Why the author wrote this book:

I wrote this book because I desired to explore the character of Cain, the first murderer. Why was his sacrifice deed unworthy by God? What would compel him to commit the actions he did? Cain is a figure who was demonized in ancient literature. I present him in a human light, not to justify his actions but to acknowledge that evil is present in all human hearts. We are all capable of jealousy and anger; we all fall short of God’s glory and need a Saviour.
