The 12 Gifts of Christmas

By Lena Nelson Dooley

Description:

Malcolm MacTavish is a descendant of Scotland’s Clan MacGregor and a successful young businessman in Fort Worth, Texas.
Alanza Cantalamessa works a gourmet pizzeria owned by her Brazilian artist mother and her Italian Poppa. Both of them are smitten
with each other, but Malcolm is too shy to do much more than make small talk—until a promotion at work that will send him away to
Australia for six months. It’s December and he has to do something—fast. Praying about the situation, Malcolm decides to give Alanza
twelve gifts leading up to Christmas. Their families and friends think they are moving too fast. And a gold-digger who tossed Malcolm
aside in the past has now decided he’s the man of her dreams. Can Malcolm and Alanza overcome their obstacles before he has to
travel abroad?

Book Takeaway:

God's plans for us are always the right ones, and He will bless us when we are obedient to His will.

Why the author wrote this book:

Actually, the editor told my agent she wanted to publish a Christmas novel this year. My agent told me that when the editor told her what she wanted, my name kept coming to her. Instead of asking all her authors who wanted to submit for this, she asked me if I was interested. I had written several Christmas novellas, but never a Christmas novel. I had decided a couple of months before that I wanted to write one. I told her I'd pray about it. Two days later, God gave me a story that would fit, so I said yes. I loved writing this story. The Lord kept giving me insight and events throughout the writing. We had a very short time to do it. I love the finished product. I hope you will, too.
