Why the author wrote this book:

I had written two novels set in Tucumcari about two estranged sisters. Each book focused on one of them. Since I loved the characters rand setting, I decided to add a third novel involving one of the sister's best friends who was an important character in the second book and readers can continue their relationship with the other characters in books 1 and 2.
