Why the author wrote this book:

I began writing this merely as a sequel to my first book, but as the story unfolded, it became a partial depiction of my relationship with my husband, prior to marriage, when we were developing our relationship from 2000 miles apart. The overall premise though came from the concept of war in our country and long-distance relationships that are maintained throughout.
