Why the author wrote this book:

I wrote Capturing Beauty because our society tends to look only skin deep at people and often judge them by first impressions, but in getting to know that person's heart, our view changes. I hope to convey that although we all establish an opinion on first glance, that that first glance does not always tell the truth, and even then, the truth is far more complex than our first impressions.
