The Flaming Sword
Sadie Larcen and her family are slowly recovering from their life-altering trek to the Tethered World. That is until their aunt arrives clutching a mysterious letter and sporting a black eye. The letter that Aunt Jules shares with the family writhes with sinister implications. A new and menacing enemy has slunk from the shadows and is conspiring to seize the most powerful piece of weaponry in the land: The Flaming Sword of Cherubythe. The sword must—at all costs—be kept from the enemies who lust for its power.
We are all part of a war between good and evil, but Sadie Larcen and her family experience this in a much more tangible way than most. With the addition of a second POV in this story, readers will see the schemes of the enemy unfold on different fronts in this fast paced drama. When things are darkest, a tiny spark of light shines the brightest.
Why the author wrote this book:
This is the second book in the Tethered World Chronicles. It continues to explore the idea about creatures from the Garden of Eden that are stewarded by select families on earth. In thinking about folklore around the world (pre-internet or even newspapers) I find it fascinating that so many cultures share similar stories about Dwarfs, Gnomes, or even Bigfoot! These stories reflect my creative explanation for these connections.
