Why the author wrote this book:

I love going to watch musicals at a local dinner theater and wanted to dig into that semi-glamorous setting, knowing that the backstage drama could rival anything on the stage itself. When I met Dani, I knew she was searching for more than a role in a play...she was searching for family and a place to belong.
