Love Comes Home
WW II is finally over and the people of Rosey Corner are joyfully welcoming the boys home. The Merritt sisters in particular are looking toward the future. Kate is eager to start a family and live out her dream of happily ever after with Jay. Evangeline craves a beautiful house and encourages Mike to pastor a big-town church. Victoria wants what can never be. And Lorena is growing up and wondering more and more about her birth family. Each sister must learn to hold her plans with a loose hand, trusting that God will guide and strengthen them as they share the joys and sorrows of life in their little corner of the world.
A starred review in Publisher's Weekly said this: "This beautifully written story has a timely resonance, uplifting and filled with hope even as it addresses painful topics. Masterfully storytelling blends with a written love story about sisters everywhere, resulting in a novel tailor made for book clubs that can be treasured and shared with all who appreciate the beauty of love and family and the value of struggle."
Why the author wrote this book:
I fell in love with my Rosey Corner characters when I wrote the first Rosey Corner book, Angel Sister. The four sisters kept whispering in my ear that they had more stories to live and so they did in Small Town Girl and now Love Comes Home. I wanted to show what happened next after WW II ended.
