A Hometown 4th of July

By June Foster

Description:

After Max Tate meets Lynn Marshall at the 4th of July celebration at Ft. Freedom, Washington, he's attracted to the curvaceous blond. Lynn helps Max locate his birth-mother, but when they take a ferry to Cascade Island in search of her, they're too late. She died two weeks before. As he finally uncovers the truth about the woman who gave him up, he's stunned. Now Max is mad at God and turns his back on the best friend he ever had—Lynn Marshall. Lynn got lost as middle child in her large family. When Max declares his love for her, she gives him her heart, but he hurls it back. Even an orphaned boy crying out for affection isn't enough to soften Max's heart. Will Max and Lynn find love for each other again to celebrate another Fourth?

Book Takeaway:

Adopted children are treasured and loved every bit as much as a birth child.

Why the author wrote this book:

The story is based in part on my husband's oldest, adopted brother. I wanted to celebrate his life with this story.
