But can a New York City chef with a painful history settle down with the family she once abandoned . . . and make peace with the sister who once abandoned her?

Why the author wrote this book:

After reading C.S. Lewis's "The Four Loves," I was intrigued by the idea of a character who excises love from her life and how she might find it coming back in... This is the story of that young woman.
