Why the author wrote this book:

I read an article in a historical newspaper advertising a debate between two pastors to determine whether or not miners were beyond salvation. I thought it was interesting to note that back then, certain classes of people were thought of as beyond God's reach. I wanted to write a book featuring a ministry to people beyond God's reach.
