Why the author wrote this book:

This is part of the Love Blossoms in Oregon series, three trade books published by David C Cook. With their permission and encouragement, I wrote and published this 160 page novella that fills in some holes in the series as it follows the life and romance of Pastor Seth Russell, a strong secondary character who readers loved. I also felt it would be interesting for readers to discover a little-known facet of Baker City, Oregon, a section of town that housed the Chinese population called Chinatown, as well as the plight of some of these hard-working people. It contains a strong romance thread as well as a strong spiritual thread, sprinkled with a little humor and adventure.
