Why the author wrote this book:

Howdy, LoLOs! That's my special term for my Loyal Loved Ones, those I can always count on to be "fans for life." You're more than fans, though. You're friends. I'm truly blessed that you've found my debut novel and ordered it. It is my prayer that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. You see, Garrett's story is very dear to my heart. It's fiction...but it also reflects my own personal spiritual journey and my constant struggle with my relationship with God. I've always felt the "call" to write, but only collected rejection letters. I allowed doubt in my heart and began questioning my purpose in life. I know many people who have died without ever accomplishing anything, and my greatest fear was just that. What if God's plan for me is to be nothing more than a rung on the ladder of life that others climb over? Well!! I just couldn't imagine that. Not me. As the years slipped by and nothing happened for me the way I planned, my struggle only worsened. Then a voice told me to write about a character with that same struggle. About the same time, I started writing only Christian romance that I knew the Lord would be proud of. It proved to be the magic combination. There are so many people that struggle with the same issues. I want you to identify with my characters, I want it real, I want it to hit home, and when you read that last page, I want you to walk away with something valuable.
