Doctor to the Rescue

By Cheryl Wyatt

Description:

Book 2-Eagle Point Emergency series.

Combat doctor Ian Shupe returns home from overseas with his most important mission: to raise his little girl. But Ian's a single dad, and working at Eagle Point's trauma center means having to find child care. When bighearted, struggling lodge owner Bri Landis offers babysitting in exchange for construction work, Ian accepts. He vows to keep his emotional distance from Bri, yet can't deny that his daughter is blossoming under her tender care. But is he ready to believe that his heart's deepest prayer may finally be answered?

Book Takeaway:

Hope after hardship. This book touches particularly on the difficulties that veterans have in reintegrating back into civilian life and how deployment affects families, relationships, even communities...and how one trauma team comes home from serving overseas to serving their community. The community in turn reaches out to the medical staff in their hours of need. The romantic blessings abound as well as a strong sense of community and family.

Why the author wrote this book:

My publisher asked me to try my hand at a medical miniseries, since I'm a Registered Nurse and also because my editor felt I write caregivers well. I incorporated a military slant to the series, in keeping with my brand, and my publisher graciously accepted the proposal and I am blessed to be writing it.
