Sidelined by injuries from a vicious assault, nurse chaplain Riley Hale is determined to return to ER duties. But how can she show she’s competent when the hospital won’t let her attempt even simple tasks? To prove herself, Riley volunteers at a controversial urban free clinic despite her fears about the maverick doctor in charge.
Faith in God and acceptance of His loving plan brings peace and healing . . . and opens our hearts to love.
Why the author wrote this book:
Like the heroine of Trauma Plan, I was a nurse "side-lined" by serious injuries, afraid I wouldn't be able resume my career in the ER. Fear (at odds with faith) is a powerful and universal human emotion. I wanted to explore it with this story and show the triumph of hope--through faith.
