Finding My SmileBy Janice Kaye DavisDescription:
My name is Alayna, and I live for stories with happy endings—probably because my own life story was far from happy in the beginning. Dumped on the steps of a foster agency as a baby, bounced in and out of jail and from one foster home to another, and fighting off anybody who tried to get close…well, that’s just for starters. Book Takeaway:It is my prayer that all who read this story will find, or renew, a relationship with God as their Savior. I also pray that those struggling in life - whether with Alzheimer's in a family member, FAS, or any other disease - will find that God's love overcomes all obstacles. Why the author wrote this book:In 1997, Janice’s grandmother died from a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s. Thus began her passion for researching and writing about the disease. Years later, after working with middle-school students, Janice also discovered a desire to minister to young people who struggle with regular and, sometimes, highly irregular needs. One early morning, God inspired Janice to combine her passions into the theme for this novel. After months of His guidance, patient prodding, and her procrastination, Janice began the joyful task of sharing God’s message through Finding My Smile. She will be the first to tell you that, despite her background in writing and educational development, this novel is truly the product of Godly inspiration. Soli deo Gloria. |
