Reyuul's Redemption
Description:
The Fall of the Scourge
Joern didn't start as a monster. He was once a noble's son in the peaceful kingdom of Cordiae...until the day assassins came for him at the country's festival, killing his mother and crippling him. Abandoned by his father and rejected by his god, thirteen-year-old Joern fled to the enemy nation of Ampestria, where dark magic promised him the power to survive and grow.
But power came with a price. For over four centuries, Joern served darkness itself, becoming the most feared reyuul in history. He razed cities with elemental fury, stole holy men for twisted experiments, and grew so powerful that Cordiae's god had to intervene. His magic slowly consumed his soul, transforming his body into a grotesque reflection of the evil within.
The Impossible Confession
Now, centuries later, something has changed. The monster, who once made kings tremble, stands before the Royal Point confessing his crimes to those who have every right to execute him on sight. His body is broken, his power stripped away, but for the first time in four hundred years, his soul might be free.
Reyuul's Redemption is the story of that confession. Each chapter peels back another layer of Joern's dark past while exploring the present-day consequences of his testimony. Some listeners want justice. Others seek revenge. A few dare to hope for something more dangerous: forgiveness.
This isn't a story about a hero's journey—it's about a villain's return.
Book Takeaway:
If someone who has spent four hundred years serving darkness, whose magic consumed his soul and transformed his body into a grotesque reflection of evil, can genuinely repent and be forgiven—then no one is beyond redemption. But it also forces the question: should such evil be forgiven? What does it cost those who were wronged to extend that mercy?
Why the author wrote this book:
Because I wanted to explore the question: is there a limit to God's mercy? I also needed to introduce other characters into the saga that was a part of Joern's lore.
