In all three of these novels, the main characters face huge challenges. They turn to God for the strength they need to meet them. I hope my readers are encouraged to trust in God through good times and bad.

Why the author wrote this book:

When my editor asked me to write Alaska stories, I was thrilled but a little apprehensive. My brother had lived there for five years, and I had friends living in Alaska, but the subject was so vast, I knew it would take a lot of work to do it justice. My trip to Alaska, which included Homer, Anchorage, Wasilla, and other sites, was a highlight in my research career. I fell in love with this incredible state.
