Why the author wrote this book:

I wrote Lydia's Charm because I've visited Charm, OH many times and found it to be a quaint place for a setting. Having met several people with dwarfism, I thought this topic would be interesting. I also wanted to deal with the topic of prejudice, which I've included in this story.
