Guardian

By Cathy McCrumb

Description:

Labeled an aberration by the Consortium, the Recorder is not yet free. Time is running out as an engineered bioweapon wreaks havoc on friend and foe alike.

Stopping both the biological agent and the people who created it is no easy task, especially since the Recorder and her friends are trapped on a research station infested with behemoth insects. Without Consortium technology, the probability of neutralizing the threat falls to nothing.

In order to save her allies, the Recorder must activate a drone, but her success might destroy any hope for freedom, a future, and a name.

Book Takeaway:

“Circumstances help us grow. They can and will be used for good. It’s more than simply pressing on, though that’s part of it. Trust that something or Someone greater than us shapes the worlds. Nothing is wasted. And none of this changes the fact that who you are is not what you do. Your heart. Your choices. Those matter.”

Why the author wrote this book:

Like the other two books, the idea of human life having value was a huge part of why I wrote this book. However, the verse I kept in mind as I was writing the entire series was I Cor 13:13. I wanted to show the birth of faith, hope, and love in the main characters.
