Author Bio:

Author of The Running Forward Series, a powerful faith and family saga; I give God the glory for the awards I received. Book one; Sin, Secrets, and Salvation, won 1st place in Religious Fiction for 2013 by the Texas Association of Authors. Book two; River Town, won 1st place in Religious Fiction for 2014 by the same organization. Book three; Hidden Creek, also won 1st place in Religious Fiction for 2015 by TAA. The Christian biography I wrote; "Lillie, A Motherless Child" won 1st place in Biography for 2016 by TAA. It is the true story of the life of my mother, born in Texas in the depression era with 16 siblings; her own mother passed away when she was 7 years old.The book follows her life in first person from a motherless child to an inspiring woman of faith, with pictures and recipes. A new Christian Fiction series in my current work in progress. I was awarded by World Wide Who's Who "Professional of the Year 2012-2013 in Authorship." I also won with The Author Show.com in their nationwide contest, "Fifty Great Writers You Should Be Reading" as a finalist in 2012, and a winner in 2013. A 2011 winner in NaNoWriMo, I completed a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. I am married with two married sons, two grandsons and one granddaughter; one small Yorkie dog rounds out our family. Retired from the Texas public school system, I am a mentor, active in my church, enjoy speaking engagements, book signings, writing, reading, and living in the country on Caddo Lake.
