Donita K. Paul dove into a new career when illness benched her from being an elementary teacher. She has written since 1996, been published since 1999, and has gathered a few awards that say she is doing a good job adding Christian literature to the bookshelves. However, her main goal is more focused. She would like to encourage, educate, and exhort Christians through her stories. She hopes to evangelize non-believers by giving them a curiosity about Christianity that they might not develop in another way. Second on her list of priorities is literacy. As a former teacher, promoting reading is second nature. And third, she is an advocate for public libraries.
