Author Bio:

So many authors knew they'd write from the age of seven; well, I did win a couple of city-wide writing contests in public school but my dreams of being a writer gave way to the need for a day job. I was a municipal police officer in the mid-1980's when women in Canada were pioneers in policing. I also had the privilege to oversee the development and run an overnight crisis shelter for youth in my home town. I was awarded the Governor-General of Canada's 125 Medal for my contribution to my community.

My husband changed careers and the military took us across Canada and back again. He's traveled the world while I've "kept the home fires burning" as they used to say back in World War II. While he was busy doing that, I was a finalist in the Kiss of Death Contest, the Jasmine, the TARA, and a semi-finalist in the Genesis Contests. And in between, we managed to raise two beautiful young adults with special needs.

We live in central Canada with two rescue dogs and two rescue cats. If the house were bigger, no doubt we'd have more.
